Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has extolled the on-field attributes of exciting, young Tiger Shai Bolton, who received this week’s AFL’s Rising Star nomination following a string of eye-catching performances this season.

“He’s just clean and makes really good decisions, and he’s only going to get better,” Hardwick said.
“He’s so good at getting in and out of traffic. And that’s the advantage of putting him through the midfield...
“Shai, stepping up, has allowed us to play Dustin (Martin) more forward.
“We probably haven’t seen the benefit on the scoreboard of Dustin playing forward, but from a match-up point of view, it looks really dangerous from us.
“So that’s exciting for us going forward.”
