Exciting, young Richmond forward Seth Campbell has taken his game to another level in the early stages of the 2025 season.

After winning the Cosgrove-Jenkins award as the Tigers’ best first-year player in 2024, Campbell has been extremely impressive across the first three rounds this season, showcasing his speed, skill and scoreboard impact.

The 20-year-old, who was recruited by Richmond from Tasmanian club North Launceston at pick 12 overall in the 2023 AFL rookie draft, currently is eighth in the competition for total goals this season with seven.

Campbell produced a top-class display for the Tigers in last Saturday’s loss to St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.

He finished the match with 12 disposals, six contested possessions, a team-high three marks inside 50, three goals (3.2), six score involvements and 189 metres gained.

Two-time Tiger premiership defender Jayden Short is a big Campbell fan, as he expressed in a post-game interview with Richmond Media.

“I loved his game. To see Seth got on the end of a few goals is obviously fantastic, but I love the work that he does away from the footy – the pressure and the speed that he brings,” Short said.

“Hopefully we can get on the end of a few wins, and we can celebrate with him a bit more.”
