Richmond small forward Rhyan Mansell will challenge his three-match ban handed down by the MRO after an incident in Round 3.

He will face the Tribunal on Tuesday night to fight the suspension, after an incident that left St Kilda's Luke O'Connell unable to see out the Marvel Stadium clash.

Mansell's act has been classified as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact.

O'Connell was left concussed after he collided with Richmond forward Tom Lynch and St Kilda's Anthony Caminiti in a marking contest, during the Tiger's 82-point loss.

Ben Miller has also been sanctioned with a $6250 fine after his fourth quarter incident with St Kilda's Lance Collard.

Miller engaged in rough conduct with Collard, classified as careless conduct, low impact and high contact, resulting in the sanction, which is his second career offence.

If Miller accepts an early plea, the fine can be reduced to $3750.
