Hard running forward Montana Beruldsen has landed at Richmond, with the Tigers reaching a trade with Sydney today.
Beruldsen has played 14 AFLW games for the Swans since she was selected with selection No. 12 overall at the 2022 National Draft from Hawthorn VFLW.
The 25-year-old was a latecomer to football, having focussed most of her earlier sporting career to athletics, including heptathlon and hurdles.
Beruldsen who has booted four goals at AFLW level, is a player on the rise having doubled her disposals per game output in 2024.
The Mildura product also took her averaged metres per game from 55 metres to 179, such has been her improvement at senior level.
Richmond Head of Women’s Football, Kate Sheahan said that Beruldsen was a speedy player that would fit into the Club well.
“Montana has elite athletic traits and the ability to really provide something to our group,” she said.
“She has been in the AFLW system for a few years now and is continuing to grow as a player. We feel her athletic power will really translate to our system and are excited to bring her across.”
In exchange for Beruldsen, first-year Tiger Imogen Brown has returned to Sydney.
Brown, 19, joined Richmond as a replacement player in July following Katelyn Cox’s season-ending ACL injury.
The former Swans Academy player did not play a senior game in her sole season with Richmond.
