Richmond AFLW duo Ellie McKenzie and Emelia Yassir have been named in the AFLPA’s 22Under22 squad.
22Under22, presented by Torrens University Australia, is a fan-voted concept that recognises the best 22 players aged 22 and under for the entirety of the season (including Grand Final day).
For a player to be eligible for the squad of 44, they are required to play a minimum of five games of the home and away season.
McKenzie, 22, has enjoyed a standout season for the Tigers to feature in every match and average 17 disposals out of the midfield.
Prior to missing the 2023 season through injury, the 22-year-old was selected in the AFLPA's 22Under22 squad's in 2021 and 2022.
The midfielder was impressive against the Swans this season, collecting a career-high 23 disposals.
Liverwire forward Yassir has booted nine goals from her 11 games for the Tigers this season.
A key part of the Tigers’ forward line, the 21-year-old has now featured in consecutive AFLPA 22Under22 squad’s.
Yassir enjoyed a standout performance against Geelong this season, booting an equal career-high three goals from her seven disposals.

Chair of Selectors, Kate McCarthy, and an internal selection panel at the AFL Players’ Association selects a squad of 44 players.
Fans then have the opportunity to decide the final 22 by voting on the 22Under22 platform, which will be until 11:59pm AEDT, November 13th (midnight).
The final team will be announced on November 20th via the via the AFL Players’ Association’s social media channels.
