The Tigers will face arch-rival Essendon on Saturday night at TIO Stadium as part of the AFLW’s Indigenous Round.

Richmond will proudly wear the Club’s 2024 Honouring Generations Dreamtime jumper on Saturday night, designed by Maurice Rioli Jnr and his mother, Alberta Kerinauia.

The design speaks of the deep connection between the Rioli family and the Richmond Football Club.

Maurice Rioli Senior played 118 matches for Richmond and was a Norm Smith and Jack Dyer Medallist.

The design features two family totems - the turtle (father) and the crocodile (mother) - which represent ties to the Tiwi Islands, just 100km north of where the AFLW Dreamtime fixture will be played.

Jodie Hicks will play her 50th AFLW game on Saturday night.

Hicks, 27, was a first-round pick (No. 5 overall) at the 2017 AFLW Draft and has not missed a game in the past three seasons.

The defender was acquired by the Tigers in the 2023 AFLW Trade Period after playing 40 games for the Giants from 2018 to 2023 and finishing fourth in the club’s Season 7 best and fairest.

A skilful player, with high football IQ, poise, and composure with ball in hand, Hicks has featured in every Richmond AFLW match this season, and will become the eighth Tiger to reach the milestone in 2024.

Richmond’s three emergencies for the clash in Darwin are Charley Ryan, Molly Eastman and Tamara Luke.

The first bounce is set for 6:45pm (Local time) and 8:15pm (AEDT) at TIO Stadium, on Larrakia country.

The Bonson gate will be open from 12:00pm, and the Ah Mat gate open from 5:00pm.

Saturday night's game will be broadcast live on 7mate and Fox Footy from 8:00pm AEDT and will also be available via live-stream on the AFL Live Official App and Kayo.
