Nick Vlastuin will enter the 2025 season as Richmond’s longest-serving current-day player.

The triple Tiger premiership star defender, who turns 31 next April, has played 233 senior games with the Club.

He takes over as Richmond’s elder statesman from retirees Dustin Martin (302 games) and Dylan Grimes (234 games).

Vlastuin was the Tigers first pick (No. 9 overall) in the 2012 AFL national draft and made his senior debut Round 5 of the 2013 season against Fremantle at Subiaco Oval.

He quickly became an integral member of the Richmond line-up and has been regarded as one of the competition’s best defenders for many years.

The Tigers will have only two other 200-game players on their list at the start of the 2025 season – Dion Prestia and Tom Lynch.

Prestia has played 225 AFL games (130 with Richmond, 95 with Gold Coast) and Lynch 220 games (89 with Richmond, 131 with Gold Coast).

The oldest player on Richmond’s list now is Prestia, who turned 32 on October 12.
