Richmond AFLW has named its extended squad for Week 2 against GWS at the Swinburne Centre this Sunday, headlined by the returns of Tessa Lavey and Sarah Hosking.

Lavey, a two-time Olympian and Commonwealth Games gold medallist, finished fifth in the Club’s best and fairest from seven matches in 2022, but spent the entirety of 2023 on the sidelines due to a toe injury.

The 31-year-old winger, who was also recently elevated to vice-captain for the 2024 season, is now in line to be back for the Tigers' first home clash of season, and their return to Punt Road Oval.

Experienced Tiger Sarah Hosking could also play her first game of the season after recovering from hamstring surgery in the off-season, meanwhile, draftees Isabel Bacon and Mackenzie Ford feature in the extended squad as a pair of potential debutants.

Replaced in the Round 2 squad are Stella Reid and Jemima Woods, who have both been omitted.

The Tigers will confirm their final Round 2 side on Friday night at 5:00pm AEST.
