Jack Ross couldn’t have been more impressive in his return to the playing field with Richmond’s VFL team last Sunday.
The hard-working midfielder, who had been sidelined for four months with a stress fracture in his foot, sat out the first quarter of the match against Sandringham at Punt Road.
But from the moment Ross entered the fray, at the start of the second term, he had a significant impact on the contest.
By game’s end, he had racked up 27 disposals and taken four marks in a superb performance that highlighted how much he’d been missed by the Tigers at AFL level.
“’Rossy’ was just outstanding,” said Richmond’s VFL coach Steve Morris.
“It’s great to see Jack back.
“He’s looked great out on the training track over the past six months working his way back to full fitness.
“We missed him in that first quarter, but it was nice to see him come on and have a huge impact in the remaining three.”
