Richmond is one Daniel Rioli match-day unavailability away from a unique, unwanted statistic.

With just five rounds of the 2024 home-and-away season to go, Rioli is the only Tiger to have played every game to far.

If he was to miss one of those games, it would be the first time since 1989 that not one player would have appeared in every match of a season for the Tigers.

In the ’89 season, Richmond under the coaching guidance of club ‘Immortal’ Kevin Bartlett, used 41 players throughout the season and finished last in the then 14-team competition with five wins and 17 losses.

This season, the injury-ravaged Tigers have used 41 players to date and are bottom of the league ladder with two wins and 16 losses.

The last time a team went through a season without a player appearing in every match was West Coast in 2022.

That season, the Eagles used a staggering 47 players and finished second last with two wins and 20 losses.
