Talented forward Seth Campbell returns to add to the 15 career games he's played this year, after the second-year Tiger was managed in Round 18.

Meanwhile, Thomson Dow and Kaleb Smith have been recalled to the senior side after strong performances in the VFL Tigers' win over reigning premier Gold Coast last Sunday.

Nineteen-year-old defender Smith racked up 22 disposals, nine tackles, seven rebound-50s and five marks in the victory, an outing VFL coach Steve Morris described as "a class above".

"The work that Kaleb is putting in at the footy club each and every morning is certainly paying off," Morris said.

"His cleanliness with his hands really stood out... He's in great form."

Midfielder Dow also amassed 22 disposals, to go with four clearances and three marks.

"Thomson was really good again for us. I’m loving what he's bringing to our team," Morris said of Dow.

"He's a great teammate, and he certainly got to work on the inside with 14 contested possessions."

The inclusions replace Nick Vlastuin, who is out with a back complaint, Jack Graham, who will miss with a minor hip issue, and Tim Taranto, who suffered a concussion in last Sunday's loss to GWS.

Vlastuin will be fit to return to face Collingwood in Round 20, while Graham is also a solid chance to be back for the MCG clash.

Richmond’s three emergencies are Noah Cumberland, Matt Coulthard and Jacob Blight.

Speaking to the media on Thursday morning, senior coach Adem Yze said Saturday night's match was an opportunity for the Tigers to "test (themselves) against a finals type-team in a hostile environment".

"(Port Adelaide's) strong in the contest and their stoppage numbers are top four in the comp," he said.

"We understand that's something we need to be mindful of... We're going to go over there and try to match them in that area.

"Their ball movement is really fast... and at home, they're obviously in really good form.

"We can't wait to get over there."

The clash at Adelaide Oval kicks off at 7:30pm (AEST) 7:00pm (ACST), and can be viewed live on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
