Tenacious Richmond small forward Rhyan Mansell is putting together a solid season in his fourth year of AFL football.
The 24-year-old kicked an equal AFL career-high two goals against Greater Western Sydney at the MCG last Sunday to go with his 10 disposals all-up, six marks, four tackles, four inside-50s, four score involvements and 231 metres gained.
He has scored one goal at least in each of his past nine games this season for an overall total of 14 from 15 matches, placing him equal-second on the Tigers’ goalkicking list with Mykelti Lefau.
This season, Mansell is averaging 10.5 disposals, 2.7 marks, 2.8 inside-50s. 3.9 score involvements, 3.6 tackles and 216.6 metres gained per match, along with nearly a goal a game.
Across the competition, he is ranked fourth for tackles inside 50, which highlights the important forward pressure that he’s been applying to opposition defenders.
