The Club is still buzzing with excitement after the inaugural Richmond Festival held at Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre last Saturday.
The day was packed with activities that brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of camaraderie among the attendees.
The Richmond Festival was highlighted by a footy clinic, where kids aged 5-12 had the opportunity to learn and play the game they love under the guidance of skilled coaches from AFL Victoria.
Richmond Football Club Marketing Manager, Ella Scott said it was the perfect day to celebrate the Richmond community and launch into the 2024 AFL season.
“The initial concept was to utilise the space at the back of the Centre with an engaging event that would appeal to the legions of Richmond fans that live locally," she said.
"We definitely felt like we did that by the amount of thrilled Tigers fans that flock through across the day.”
Richmond Festival was a resounding success, thanks to the incredible support from the Richmond community, the collaboration with Vicinity Centres, and the partnership with Yarra City Council.
"It was a day filled with connection to the local community and a shared passion for footy," Scott, the Club's Marketing Manager, added.
"Importantly, it reinforced the strong bond between the Richmond Football Club, the 3121 area, and our dedicated fans."
