RICHMOND'S chance for revenge against Fremantle on Sunday may have been made slightly better by Matthew Pavlich's suspension, but not by much.

The Fremantle skipper has accepted a three-match suspension for bumping Eagle Mitch Brown.

Tigers midfielder Matt White openly admits Pavlich's absence is "a good thing" as his side looks to make amends for a heartbreaking one-point loss to the Dockers earlier in the season, but expects Freo will be able to fill the void. 

It is and it isn't. They haven't played with him for most of the year  … he came back and he's played well in his last few games, (but) they've got soldiers that can replace him pretty easily," White said on Tuesday. 

"We're not having a rest knowing that he's not going to play." 

White said the Tigers had learnt from the year's earlier contest. 

"I think we showed in round five that we can match it with them. To go down by a point …  it was pretty much our own undoing in the last five or 10 minutes of that game."

Defender Bachar Houli trained strongly on Tuesday, showing no sign of the injured hamstring that kept him out of last weekend’s win over Gold Coast, and appears in line to come back into the side.

"It's all on him at the moment. If he can get through the week of training and have no issue with the hamstring, I'm sure he'll be putting his hand up to play," White said.

Defender Dylan Grimes continued to train away from the main group as he recovers from a foot stress fracture.
