Richmond has used its second selection (No. 43 overall) in the 2023 AFL Draft to recruit Central District key forward Liam Fawcett.

"Relatively new to the talent pathway, Liam did a fantastic job to represent South Australia in the U18 National Championships, where he showed versatility to play at both ends of the ground.
