Richmond’s second selection (No. 20 pick overall) in the 2017 AFL national draft, talented, young South Australian ruckman/forward Callum Coleman-Jones, caught up with ‘Roar Vision’ to talk about his transition to Tigerland.

Draft night

“I watched it (the draft) with close family at home and wasn’t expecting too much, but it was really good to get my name called out by the Richmond Footy Club. It was really exciting.”

“The phone just started blowing up a little bit. I had calls and messages from people, so I missed probably the next half of the draft just calling them back . . .”

Familiar faces at Richmond

“Playing with Jack Graham and Tyson Stengle through the state 18s program back in SA last year, I got to know them. It was good to have them at the Club when I came here . . . And ‘Naishy’ (Patrick Naish), ‘Higgo’ (Jack Higgins) and Noah (Balta) were part of the AFL Academy with me. I spent a fair bit of time with them over the last year or two on training camps here in Melbourne and all over the country and world. So it’s good to have them on board as well.”
