Top-class Richmond defender Dylan Grimes polled the most votes in the Tigers v Collingwood Round 19 voting for the 2019 AFL Coaches’ Association’s Player of the Year award.
Grimes received nine votes from respective coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and Nathan Buckley (Collingwood) for his superb defensive display in last Friday night’s blockbuster clash – 14 disposals, eight marks, including a game-high three contested grabs, an equal AFL career-high six rebound-50s, nine intercepts and 10 one-percenters.

Rounding out Richmond’s Round 19 vote-getters in the prestigious coaches’ award was quality defender Nick Vlastuin, with one vote.
