Richmond will unveil two new Tigers in Sunday's opening round of the 2023 AFLW season.

Exciting recruits Caitlin Greiser and Courtney Jones will run out in their first games in the Yellow and Black for the clash with the Lions at Brighton Homes Arena.

Star goalkicker Greiser, who arrived at Richmond in March from St Kilda, will provide an huge boost to the Tigers' forward line in 2023.

A former Best & Fairest winner, All Australian and AFL Women’s Leading Goalkicker, the 24-year-old has a booming right foot and strong marking ability.

Jones, another welcome addition to the Richmond's forward mix, also arrived during the trade period.

The former Sun, who topped her club’s goalkicking in the past two seasons, has game sense, pace, and defensive pressure.

The top five in last season's Best and Fairest, Monique Conti, Eilish Sheerin, Gabby Seymour, Ellie McKenzie and Grace Egan all feature in the line-up, as well as skipper Katie Brennan.

The Tigers will face the Lions from 3.05pm, an exciting challenge for the visitors against a strong opposition to kick off their fifth season in the competition.

Pleasingly, Richmond has all but three of its playing list available for the trip interstate.

Sarah Hosking will miss Round 1 with a hamstring injury but is due to return the following week, while Charley Ryan (foot) and Meagan Kiely (back) are also unavailable for the opening round.

Sunday's game will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Kayo Sports. 

Tigers who haven't been selected in the Round 1 side will take part in a scrimmage on Saturday morning with players from the Western Bulldogs, Hawthorn and Geelong at Deakin University, Waurn Ponds from 11.00am.
