Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris provides a summary of how the Tigers’ players performed in last Saturday's win over Port Melbourne at the Swinburne Centre.
Lachlan Street (37 disposals, 20 contested possessions, 11 clearances, six inside-50s)
"Had an incredible game of football. He had 37 touches, 20 contested possessions and 11 clearances. His only blemish was not being able to convert one of his three shots on goal, but he was fantastic when on ball, and went forward in the second half and had a big impact there as well."
Tyler Sonsie (31 disposals, 11 contested possessions, eight inside-50s, one goal)
"He was a part of a midfield brigade that really got on top late in the game. I loved his will to win late, and he finished with a fantastic shot on goal in the dying minutes to seal the game."
Brad Melville (23 disposals, 14 contested possessions, six clearances, one goal)
"His battled his backside off. He was in everything and he was just a fantastic teammate on the day, which was a big focus for us as a team."
Maurice Rioli (20 disposals, 11 contested possessions, 13 tackles, eight inside-50s, seven clearances)
"Was an absolute standout on the day with 13 tackles and seven clearances from a midfield positions. He was just in absolutely everything in the second half, and was a major reason as to why we were able to win the game."
Bigoa Nyuon (17 disposals, four tackles, three inside-50s)
"Played down back and I thought he was really solid. For the majority of the day, his contested work and his body work in marking contests were really good, and he used the ball really well going over 90 per cent on a day that was tough to use the football."
Tom Brown (16 disposals, five rebound-50s, three marks)
"Another good game from him. He was pretty solid throughout the day. Whether it's in the air or on the ground level, he's giving us a really good contest and has improved exponentially this season."
Samson Ryan (16 disposals, 15 hit-outs, four marks, four tackles)
"A lot of 'almost' moments for Samson on the day. He had a solid game of footy without being outstanding. But, I'm certain he's in really good form and he'll start to convert some of those chances that he's getting forward of the footy."
James Trezise (16 disposals, seven rebound-50s, six tackles, two marks)
"Once again a very solid game from him. His tackling is equal to the best at the club, and he's just a really reliable defender who's in good form for us."
Mutaz El Nour (16 disposals, five rebound-50s, four marks)
"Used the ball pretty well in the wet conditions and he teamed up fantastically with Bigoa down back."
Cam Olden (16 disposals, five inside-50s, three goals)
"I felt for Cam, he was pretty sore on the day, particularly at half-time. But he came out and kicked three three-quarter goals and helped us get back into the game and back on our terms. He had another solid day at the office for us."
Mykelti Lefau (16 disposals, 10 tackles, five rebound-50s, four marks)
"He was enormous for us, particularly in the second half. His presence around the footy was fantastic. He's big, strong, physical and fast, and we're loving what he's bringing to our team."
Sam Banks (15 disposals, five tackles, one goal)
"Loving how invested he is in his team. He finished with five tackles and used the ball really well. He kicked an important goal for us in the third quarter."
Angus Hicks (13 disposals, nine contested possessions, four tackles)
"Had a heap of opportunities, it was just one of those days where he found it difficult to convert those. He's getting himself into good spots and we're enjoying the work and patterns that he's running."
Mohammed Yassine (13 disposals, five tackles, two inside-50s)
"Once again, had a really good game. His pressure is fantastic as a small forward, and he used the ball really well for the majority of the day. His speed really stands out and he's having more and more of an impact"
Steely Green (12 disposals, four inside-50s, three tackles)
"His pressure was really good, a couple of his chase down efforts were just outstanding to help us will the football back on the day. He's putting in a lot of work to improve his game."
Tom Brindley (12 disposals, three tackles, two clearances)
"Was solid on the day. He played a little bit of a different role on the day, mainly in the ruck and up forward, which shows his flexibility. He's an important team member for us"
Hugo Ralphsmith (11 disposals, four tackles, one mark)
"I was pleased with Hugo's first half, he did a lot right. He had 11 touches at 100 per cent and stepped in for four tackles, which was great to see."
Austin Johnson (11 disposals, three tackles, one goal)
"He's really no fuss, he just gets the job done defensively and can play multiple positions. He had a really classy finish in the last quarter."

Luke Teal (10 disposals, two marks, two tackles)
"He was good in his first game from back for the club on the weekend. He's reliable down back and is a much-loved team member, it was pleasing to see him play a really important role"
Billy Cooper (eight disposals, one mark, one tackle)
"We needed him to play a few different roles on the weekend and he was able to do that. He looked comfortable down back, but we're continually asking our players to do different roles and that's the challenge we're putting to Billy."
Seth Campbell (seven disposals, two inside-50s, one mark)
"Really excited to have Seth back out on the park. He hasn't hit his straps just yet, but I feel like it's getting closer and looking forward to seeing him burst a game open."
Nathan Philactides (seven disposals, one mark, one inside-50)
"Had a couple of really good moments on the day, where he stood up under pressure. He's a young player with a huge future, and we're glad to have been able to have him in the side for a couple of times this year."
Kaelan Bradtke (six disposals, 16 hit-outs, one mark, one goal)
"A really instrumental part of us being able to turn the game around. Went into the ruck and had 16 hit-outs in just a quarter of footy. What really impressed me was his follow up work around the ground."
