Star spearhead Jack Riewoldt was Richmond’s top vote-getter in the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year award voting for the Round 7 clash with Western Bulldogs.
Riewoldt, who reached the AFL 500-goal milestone in the match, received four votes from respective coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and Luke Beveridge (Western Bulldogs) after finishing with 15 disposals, including nine contested possessions, seven score involvements, an equal game-high four goals, plus eight marks (four of them inside 50) and four tackles in the Tigers’ five-point loss.

Hard-running Richmond midfielder Shaun Grigg, who continued his fine start to the season, gathering a team-high 29 disposals, including six rebound-50s, three inside-50s and a goal, along with four tackles and a game-high 567 metres, picked up three votes.
Star key defender Alex Rance was the other Tiger player to poll in the coaches’ award for Round 7. He was given one vote for another top-class display that netted him 16 disposals, including five rebound-50s, three inside-50s, a game-high nine intercepts and eight marks.
