The 2023 NAB AFLW Season is almost here, and after a first-ever finals berth last year, Richmond is ready to take on a new challenge.

'Same story, new chapter' is Richmond’s AFLW membership campaign for the upcoming season, inspired by a determination to reach new heights in 2023, while building on the foundations set from the Club's first four seasons in the league.

The Tiger Army has been a part of Richmond's AFLW story since the very start, and we want you alongside us again to be part of the story in 2023.

The first bounce for the upcoming season is against tough rival, Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Sunday, September 3.

Players, coaches, and all staff have been working hard both on and off the field to ensure skills, fitness and team camaraderie is at its peak.

Whether it's the roar on game days, membership numbers increasing, or heartfelt messages from supporters of all ages, the Tiger Army is a key driver in the ongoing push for success.

In incredible timing in the lead up to Round 1, we’ve all bared witness to the hype for the Matilda’s in their current FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign.

We hope the support that have been shown, as well as the growing admiration, carries into the upcoming AFLW season, and into all female sport for the future ahead.

Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said the roar of the Tiger Army was more important than ever, as the team travels to Ikon Park for their 2023 home games due to the upcoming Punt Road redevelopment.

"The support of the Tiger Army is unparalleled, they have played such a huge role in our AFLW side's progression through the league since its inaugural season in 2020," he said.

"We can't wait to see what 2023 has in store for our AFLW program and we know the Tiger Army will be there every step of the way."

Midfield star Ellie McKenzie said the Tigers were itching to go after a long pre-season, excited by the new faces in the squad who have fitted in seamlessly.

"I feel as though it's been our biggest pre-season yet," McKenzie said.

"There's been a lot of work behind the scenes, including outside of training, to build our connection. We're such a close group.

"The Tiger Army's support at games is second to none, and it truly makes the world of difference. To have 100,000 Richmond members yet again this year was sensational, and we're excited to carry that momentum into our season.

"Our experience last season taught us that we can take it to the best, and we want to take that next step this season and go even higher."

There are several ways to support our W team, with both access and non-access memberships available here.
