Jack Graham produced his best performance of the 2023 season in Richmond’s thrilling comeback victory over Hawthorn at the MCG last Saturday, and he’s been duly rewarded with the most votes by a Tigers player in the AFL Coaches Association’s Champion Player of the Year Award Round 19 voting.
The hard-running dual Tiger premiership hero received six votes after finishing the match with 21 disposals, 10 contested possessions, three marks, five inside-50s, five clearances, one goal, a game-high three goal assists, game-high 10 score involvements, three intercepts, game-high eight tackles and 419 metres gained.
Talented key defender Noah Balta, who is in the best form of his AFL career, was given four votes.
Balta had 19 disposals, six contested possessions, a game-high 14 marks, nine intercepts, six rebound-50s, four inside-50s and a team-high 588 metres gained.
Rounding out Richmond’s Round 19 vote-winners in the prestigious coaches’ award were star midfielders Dion Prestia (three votes) and Tim Taranto (one vote).
