Richmond has locked in its line-up for Saturday's Alannah & Madeline Foundation match against Hawthorn at the MCG.

The Tigers will welcome Rhyan Mansell back into their side, who was best on ground in last weekend's 13-point VFL interstate win against Southport.

In his return from a three-match suspension last Saturday, the 23-year-old dominated up forward and on the wing, finishing with 25 disposals, eight marks, a team-high six tackles and kicked two classy goals. 

As announced earlier on Thursday, mid-season draftee Matthew Coulthard will make his debut for the Club as Richmond's Round 19 substitute, less than two months after arriving at the Club. 

The 22-year-old small forward, who joined the Tigers from Glenelg, has kicked four goals in his opening six matches in Richmond's VFL side, showcasing his high work rate and instinctive pressure.

Mansell replaces Maurice Rioli, who has been omitted.

Last week's activated substitute, Hugo Ralphsmith, has been named as an emergency alongside, Round 19 substitute Coulthard, Samson Ryan and Judson Clarke.

Richmond interim coach Andrew McQualter said the Tigers were well aware that Hawthorn's "best footy can be really dangerous".

"They can be fast in attack, they defend really well, so that's what we're preparing for," McQualter said.

"We're just embracing every week as they come and improve our footy each week and get better. We think we've got lots of room to grow, so we're enjoying that challenge at the moment."

Saturday afternoon's match at the 'G kicks off at 1.45pm AEST and will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
