Troy Taylor’s had lost none of his flair and skill when he returned to play football on Traeger Park in Alice Springs last night.
The 19-year-old was part of Richmond’s three-point win over Port Adelaide in the NAB Challenge series.
Taylor’s second hitout for the pre season included a couple of goal assists and some high flying moments, in front of a local crowd which applauded his every move.
“I had my mum and my brothers here watching, which was good. I could hear them all through the match.”
“I was here for about nine months. Darwin is usually my home town, but I’ve got family and cousins here so I call this my home town as well,” he said.
After an injury-interrupted 2010 season, Taylor is feeling fit, healthy, and ready to become a regular fixture in the Tigers’ line-up.
“I want to play as many games as I can this year. I’m feeling fine at the moment, with no injuries,” he said.
“I’ve felt settled for a while now, and (Richmond is) like home now.”
