Richmond will regain the services of star duo Dustin Martin and Dion Prestia for Thursday night's clash with Sydney at the MCG.

Martin was ruled out of the Tigers' Round 16 match against Brisbane due to illness, while Prestia missed the game with a calf injury. 

As announced on Monday, the Club will also unleash two fresh faces for the Thursday night clash, Sam Banks and Jacob Bauer. 

Former Sydney Swans Academy player Bauer arrived at Tigerland in the 2022 Mid-Season Rookie Draft via SANFL club North Adelaide.

The talented 21-year-old swingman remarkably kicked the match-winning goal after the siren for the VFL Tigers last week for the second time this season. 

Tasmanian Banks, 20, was drafted to the Club in 2021 from Clarence with pick No. 29.

The hard-running wingman has been in standout form in the VFL all year, showcasing his ability to break lines with his speed and his sensational kicking skills.

Rounding out the five inclusions is Maurice Rioli Jnr, who has been recalled following a high-pressure performance in the VFL last week in which he recorded eight tackles.

The additions replace Jayden Short, who injured his hamstring in Round 16, as well as Hugo Ralphsmith (last week's activated substitute), Jack Ross, Samson Ryan, Noah Cumberland and Judson Clarke, who have all been omitted. 

Ralphsmith, Ross and Clarke have been named as emergencies, alongside ruckman Ivan Soldo. 

The Tigers will confirm which player steps into the 23 to be the substitute 60 minutes before the opening bounce.

Thursday night's clash at the 'G kicks off at 7.20pm and will be broadcast live on Channel 7, Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
