Ivan Soldo made a strong return to Richmond’s line-up in yesterday’s clash with Gold Coast at Marvel Stadium.
The robust ruckman, playing his first game for the year after recovering from plantar fasciitis, finished with 11 disposals, eight contested possessions, five marks, one goal, five score involvements and 14 hit-outs in a restricted 57 per cent time on the ground.
His performance was all the meritorious given the fact he was competing against one of the competition’s leading ruckmen in Suns skipper Jarrod Witts.

Soldo, who made his senior debut with the Tigers in their drought-breaking 2017 premiership year, reached the AFL 50-game milestone yesterday.
The 2019 premiership team member missed the entire 2021 season with a serious knee injury.

Meanwhile, another premiership Tiger also was a welcome addition to the Richmond team for the Round 7 match against Gold Coast.
Triple flag defender Nathan Broad, who returned from a four-match suspension, had 20 disposals, four marks, three inside-50s, five intercepts, an equal game-high eight one-percenters and 336 metres gained.
