Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris provides a summary of how the Tigers’ players performed in Sunday's 12-point win over Casey at Casey Fields. 

Jack Ross (31 disposals, 10 marks, eight inside-50s, six tackles, two goals)

"Standout performer on the ground. He stood out in every aspect, his attack on the footy was first-class and he finished with six tackles. He used the ball beautifully to hit the scoreboard heavily as well."

Tom Bracher (28 disposals, five rebound-50s, four marks)

"His ball-use stood out once again on the weekend. I thought he had a few really important contests as well."

Thomson Dow (26 disposals, seven clearances, five inside-50s)

"He teamed up really well with Jack Ross to lead the way with seven clearances. I thought his lateral movement and use by hands was a real standout."

Lachlan Street (24 disposals, four inside-50s, three clearances)

"Another really good game from him. He's stringing together some good form and is leading the way beautifully."

Garrett McDonagh (23 disposals, seven marks, four tackles, one goal)

"Had another outstanding game. He could have easily finished with three or four goals. His ball use and decision-making was something that really stood out with ball in hand."

Austin Johnson (22 disposals, eight marks, six inside-50s)

"It's hard to believe he's only just turned 21. He covers the ground really well, he's tough over the footy and he's beautifully skilled. He's putting together a very nice season and the weekend's game was no different."

Jacob Bauer (21 disposals, 12 rebound-50s, five marks)

"He's been a revelation since going back. His work in the air is getting better each week and I thought he made some really good high-percentage decisions on defence and his ball use has been a highlight over the last three weeks."

Luke Teal (21 disposals, six marks, five rebound-50s)

"A young player that has played a couple of games in the Coates Talent League in the first few rounds, but we've been really glad to be able to welcome him back into the fold. His ball use in particular on the weekend was a highlight and he's extremely reliable down back."

Cam Olden (20 disposals, five marks, one goal)

"Just gets the job done. If we put him forward, he's effective up there, but more recently, he's had a big impact in the midfield and I thought his job late in the game on Demon James Harmes was really influential."

Sam Banks (19 disposals, four marks, three tackles)

"He's a really promising young player who we've seen some fantastic work from in the last few weeks. His link-up play and defensive running has been a standout and it's great to see him get some reward for the work he's putting in week to week."

James Trezise (19 disposals, seven marks, six rebound-50s)

"Our 'Mr Fix-It'. We put him down back when Mutaz El Nour went down early in the game, and he was as solid as a rock. He led the team with seven tackles, he's ruthless, tough, and is in super form."

Tom Brindley (18 disposals, 26 hit-outs, five inside-50s)

"Was outstanding in the ruck again. He has a huge motor which allows him to get to a lot of contests throughout the day. I thought his battled his backside off and helped us win the game."

Max Clohesy (16 disposals, five marks, two rebound-50s)

"Max has had a fantastic thee-week block. I'm really pleased with what he's bringing from a defensive point of view and his clean hands at ground level are something that really stand out. It's good to see him getting involved in our offence as well."

Billy Cooper (16 disposals, six marks, two rebound-50s)

"Another backman who thinks defence-first yet is having a really good influence on the game offensively. His ability to use the numbers that he had around him on the weekend were as good as I've seen from him. He works extremely hard and has such pride in playing for this Club."

Joel Nathan (13 disposals, four marks, three goals)

"It was the first time we've seen him play up forward for a sustained period of time and he was absolutely outstanding. It was his work to halve contests and bring the ball to ground that pleased me most."

Brad Melville (12 disposals, three marks, three goals)

"He's a big part of why we were able to win. He's a leader of our footy club, his engine is second to none, and he's a beautiful finisher as we saw on the weekend with three crucial goals."

Ben Bilston-McGillen (12 disposals, three clearances, one goal)

"He's a livewire with a bit of X-Factor. He kicked a crucial goal at a crucial time in the last quarter from outside 50, and I thought his contest work got better as the game went on."

Angus Hicks (11 disposals, four tackles, one goal)

"He's one that we can rely on to set everyone up around him, lead the way, and play his role to perfection."

Fraser Elliot (10 disposals, two rebound-50s)

"Fraser has played many different positions over the last few weeks. I thought he had a solid game on the weekend, but what I was really pleased with was his contest work on bigger bodies down back late in the game."

Steely Green (eight disposals, five inside-50s, four marks)

"Low numbers from Steely, but high impact. I thought his run, speed and energy were highly noticeable. He's a very exciting player for us and he's bought into what we're trying to achieve at VFL level as much as anyone has."

Archie May (seven disposals, five hit-outs, one goal)

"He's a young player with a lot of upside. He probably didn't have a standout game, but I thought he had some real standout moments and he's just going to get better and better over the coming months."

Mutaz El Nour (three disposals, two inside-50s)

"Unfortunately went down with injury in the first 10 minutes of the game and played no further part. We're hoping this is just a short-term injury as he's an extremely important part of our team and leader."

Misilifi Faimalo (two disposals, one goal)

"He had a really quiet first half, but whilst he didn't hit the stats sheet hard in the second half, I thought he was really influential. There was a number of pieces of play where he was putting pressure on."
