“The playing group are getting a lot better now at understanding the timing, the speed of movement, how to shut a game down, how to score when you get the opportunity,” Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said following the Tigers’ 91-point win against Collingwood at the MCG last Saturday.
“That’s a sign of a group that’s maturing . . .
“It’s not something we’ve just brought into our game overnight. We’ve been training it for two to three years.
“We always knew it was going to take a little bit of time, but they’ve started to understand the roles and responsibilities of each and when to co-ordinate that.
“In saying that, we’ve still got some areas that we’d like to get a little bit better.”
