There has been a remarkable similarity in Richmond’s six successive wins since the mid-season bye.

In each of the past five victories, the Tigers have held their opponents to the same meagre goal tally – nine.

They started the winning streak by restricting St Kilda to 10 goals – 10.10 (70) – in their Round 15 clash at Marvel Stadium.

Then, in Round 16, Gold Coast scored 9.4 (58) at Metricon Stadium, in Round 17 it was Greater Western Sydney 9.13 (67) at the MCG, in Round 18 it was Port Adelaide 9.9 (63) at the MCG, in Round 19 it was Collingwood 9.12 (66) at the MCG, and last night it was Melbourne 9.6 (60) at the MCG.

And five times in those six wins on-the-trot, star key forward Tom Lynch has kicked three goals – against St Kilda, Gold Coast, GWS, Port Adelaide and Melbourne. He topped that with five goals in the Round 19 victory over Collingwood.
