Richmond’s robust midfield recruit Andrew Moore is leaving nothing to chance in his quest for the consistency that eluded him throughout six seasons with Port Adelaide.
Moore, who joined Richmond as a delisted free agent late last year, has been totally dedicated, determined and professional in his approach during the pre-season, as he sets his sights on a permanent spot in the Tigers’ senior line-up.
“Each training session, it’s like a game for me,” Moore told 5AA.

“I’m trying to develop my skills on the inside, and I’m working closely with guys like (Trent) Cotchin, (Dustin) Martin, when he goes through there, and (Anthony) Miles.
“I’ve got to present myself well on the track and I’ve got to prove myself, especially trying to get into the midfield mix.
“I’ve got a long way to go before I earn the respect of the players.
“I need to take each training session, each game, if that comes in the NAB Challenge, and need to concentrate closely on week to week.”
The transition from Port Adelaide to Richmond couldn’t have gone more smoothly for the 24-year-old . . .
“It’s been fantastic. I’ve loved coming home and getting stuck into training over the last couple of months,” he said.
“The Club and the players have been extremely welcoming and I’ve enjoyed my time there so far.
“I’ve got along really well with ‘Dimma’ (senior coach Damien Hardwick) and I’m working really closely with ‘Ladey’ (assistant coach Brendon Lade).
“I fit in really well and I’m working extremely hard out on the track, trying to build my respect, but also cement myself through the midfield group.”
