Three Richmond stars, Dustin Martin, Tom Lynch and Shai Bolton, have been named in the 22Under22 Team of the Decade.

Celebrating 10 years since the inaugural team was announced, the AFL Players’ Association launched a 22Under22 Team of the Decade this year, where all previously selected 22Under22 players were voted on by the fans to create the ultimate team.

Established in 2013, 22Under22 is an honorary representative Australian rules football team that seeks to recognise the best young talent in the AFL and AFLW.

With three representatives in the final side, Richmond had the second-most players amongst the AFL Clubs.

Martin, named in the 2012 and 2013 22Under22 sides, was the most popular player selected in the Team of the Decade, featuring in 76% of fan-voted teams.

The superstar Tiger, whose decorated football resume includes three premierships and Norm Smith Medals, the 2017 Brownlow Medal and AFLPA MVP Award, and four All-Australian blazers, was positioned in the centreline of the side.

The now 31-one-year was drafted to the Club with pick No. 3 back in 2009 and was a NAB AFL Rising Star nominee the following year.

Lynch, a member of the 2015 22Under22 team, was named in the forward line of the Team of the Decade. He started his AFL career at Gold Coast where he was their 2015 Best and Fairest winner and captained the side for two seasons, before going on to win two premierships with Richmond and was the Club's 2022 Jack Dyer Medallist.

Also selected in the forward line was Bolton, one of the game's most exciting players. A two-time premiership player and 2022 All-Australian, the electric 24-year-old, who was drafted as a Tiger back in 2016, featured in the 22Under22 team in 2021.
