Speedo has partnered with Richmond as the Club’s Official Swimwear Provider for at least the next three years.
Richmond CEO, Brendon Gale, said it marked another exciting partnership for the Club.
“Swimming is a great cross-training activity and it importantly plays a key role in our recovery program,” Gale said.
“We look forward to working with Speedo to encourage all Australians to integrate swimming into their training programs and lead an active and healthy lifestyle.”
Speedo Olympian Mack Horton visited Richmond last week and met players Trent Cotchin, Shaun Grigg, Brandon Ellis and Ben Griffiths. He challenged the Club’s players, coaches and staff to jump on board Speedo’s new #MAKE1KWET campaign.
The aim of this campaign is to provide the general fitness enthusiast with all the support they need to add swimming into their lives and help build their confidence and stamina in the pool.
Speedo Australia Brand Manager, Graham Eyres, said the leading swimwear brand was proud to support athletes both in and out of the aquatic racing environment.
“We’re excited to be announcing our relationship with Richmond,” Eyres said.
“It’s our mission to inspire all Australians to swim, and grow the sport of swimming, and we believe our support of AFL teams and highlighting that they swim will help achieve this.
"We can’t wait to see Richmond’s 2017 season unfold."
The Tigers also recently announced United Petroleum as their Official Match Ball Partner, Bang & Olufsen as their official Audio-Visual Partner, Plenary Group as Richmond Academy Partner and Progressclaim.com as a joint-major partner of the Club’s VFL program.
