Richmond champion and triple-premiership captain Trent Cotchin will be inducted as an AFL Life Member at the competition's Season Launch in March.
Cotchin qualified automatically for the top honour by reaching 300 games as either player or coach, including pre-season games and international rules contests.
The Brownlow Medallist has played 287 premiership matches for Richmond as well as 15 pre-season games and the 2020 State of Origin Match.
Cotchin is a three-time Jack Dyer Medallist (2011,12,14) and All-Australian (2012). He captained the Club for a record-breaking 188 games between his appointment in November 2012 and 2021.
The 32-year-old remains an outstanding contributor for Richmond, finishing sixth in the 2022 Jack Dyer Medal.
Richmond President John O'Rourke said Cotchin was a most worthy recipient of AFL Life Membership.
"Trent has made a remarkable contribution to our football club and, more broadly, the AFL across his 15 years in the competition," O'Rourke said.
"It is a terrific achievement to reach 300 games at the highest level, and Trent's on-field feats and accomplishments speak for themselves.
"His legacy at Richmond will carry on for many years to come, and this honour, etching his name further among the game's greats, is fitting for what he has achieved both individually and as the key leader within one of our most successful ever teams.”
Cotchin's honour follows the that of his triple-premiership teammates Shane Edwards (2022) and Jack Riewoldt (2021) in recent years.
