Richmond defender Daniel Rioli says the Tigers are enjoying bonding as a group at their pre-season camp in Apollo Bay, as they partake in a number of team-building challenges.
Senior coach Damien Hardwick has organised a host of surprise activities for the players, including kayaking, bike riding and a sandcastle-building competition.
"The camp's been good, good team bonding and everyone's getting along really well," Rioli said.
After transitioning into a quality half-back and claiming second place in Richmond's 2022 best and fairest count, the 25-year-old is keen to continue developing in the role this season.
"I'll stay at half-back this year, I played some consistent footy that I'm happy with and half-back is probably the position I really suit," Rioli said.
"I'll hopefully get better from there."
As the Tigers welcome Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper into their midfield, Rioli is hoping that means tough utility Liam Baker will spend most of his time in the backline in 2023.
"It's good having 'Bakes' down there, he's like a brick wall," Rioli said.
"He's not scared of anything. With Tim and Jacob in the midfield, I'll hopefully get to have 'Bakes' down back as well, but he can play anywhere.
"He's one of a kind, I always walk a bit taller when he's out there."

Rioli is excited to see his uncle Maurice Rioli "flying" through the pre-season, as the 20-year-old talented small forward approaches his third season at the Club.
"He's going really well," Rioli said.
"With another pre-season under his belt, he's going to be a better player for us and be a lot fitter, a lot stronger.
"I'm looking forward to seeing how he goes this year, he's getting a lot more confident."
