Lachlan Street will remain captain of Richmond's VFL side in 2023.
The versatile Tiger, who took the reins from now-coach Steve Morris in 2022, has been a part of the program for the past four seasons, including playing in the 2019 premiership side.
The 24-year-old Frankston YCW product, known for his ability to impact games all over the ground, said it was "an honour" to be selected as skipper for the second year.
"To be voted as captain by my teammates and staff, I'm absolutely proud of," Street said.
"Being a part of this group, this program and this club inside these four walls has been my life's ambition ever since I was a kid, to represent these colours has always been a goal of mine.
"These boys are a great bunch, we've got a long way ahead this season, but so far in the 10 or so weeks we've had, we've got plenty to be excited about.
"We've got some great practice games up ahead and everyone should be very excited to show their strengths. I'm really excited to see where this group can go and the ceiling we can break through."
Coach Morris said it was a "unanimous vote" for highly-respected Street.
"He's been a wonderful part of our footy club for a number of years now, and his training over the last couple of seasons has gone from strength to strength," Morris said.
"He's a wonderful leader for these boys who sets the standard on the track, and is a wonderful person away from the field that these guys can look up to.
"We're really excited to have him lead these boys again in 2023."
Three Tigers will support Street as vice-captains; Angus Hicks, Brad Melville and Garrett McDonagh.
Dangerous forward Hicks and strong runner Melville, both 24, will be part of the leadership group for the second consecutive year after joining the team in 2018 and 2020 respectively.
Both have overcome injury challenges in recent years while remaining key pillars of the program.
"'Hicksy' has been here for a long time, and Brad's journey has been a really special one," Morris said.
"The lessons we've learnt from you fighting through adversity and still rocking up to the Club with a smile on your face has certainly stood out."
Twenty-six-year-old McDonagh has been a welcome return to the side this pre-season after the rebounding defender spent a year on Essendon's AFL list as a mature-age draftee.
"The second he walked into pre-season, he's just made everyone better," Morris said.
"He's humble, he works hard and he's got the skillset to make us better, and the boys around him better as well."
