In the fifth and final part of a special 1972 Richmond Annual Report flashback series leading into the Club’s 2022 Annual General Meeting, we reproduce some other items of interest from the publication.

MEMBERSHIP AND ATTENDANCES

History was created in season 1972 when our Club became the first-ever to have over 1,000,000 supporters in attendance at its matches. Overall, we played in 26 matches including finals, and the total attendance was 1,008,855.

Total attendances for the 22 matches played at the MCG, and away matches, was 657,554.
