Richmond has announced changes to its playing list at the conclusion of the Club’s 2016 season.
The Club informed key forward, Liam McBean and midfielder, Adam Marcon that they will not be offered new contracts for 2017.
Recruited to Richmond in the 2012 National Draft with the Club’s second round selection (no.33 overall), McBean made his AFL debut in 2015 and played five senior games.
Marcon was recruited to Richmond with the Tigers’ third round selection (no. 47 overall) in the 2016 Rookie Draft.
After solid performances in the VFL, Marcon was elevated to Richmond’s senior list and made his AFL debut in Round 19 against GWS, and played two senior games this season.
Defender Troy Chaplin also announced his retirement from AFL earlier this season after 215 games with Port Adelaide and Richmond.
The 30-year-old played 140 games in nine seasons at Port Adelaide, before joining Richmond as a restricted free agent at the end of 2012.
The Club wishes to thank these players for their service to the Richmond Football Club.
