Find out how Sydney is lining up for Round 13 this Friday
Richmond veteran Chris Newman has been named in the Tigers’ Round 13 team to make his return from a groin injury.
The 33-year-old is one of three changes to the team to face Sydney at the SCG on Friday night, with Nathan Gordon and Kane Lambert also recalled.
Newman has missed the last five AFL games, having played two games back in the VFL since recovering from the injury.
It will be Lambert’s second AFL career game, following his Round 2 debut against the Western Bulldogs, a match which subsequently saw him injure his shoulder.
He made his return to the playing field last week in the VFL, with his 28-disposal match enough to earn a recall.
Gordon played five games at AFL level earlier this season, with his last appearance in Round 6 against North Melbourne.
Richmond youngster Corey Ellis was forced out with a hip flexor injury, while Connor Menadue and Steve Morris have been omitted.
