Noah Balta has been named in the AFL Players' Association's 22Under22 squad following an impressive 2022 season.
The 40-man squad, selected by the AFL Players’ Board, recognises the league’s most exciting young talent.
To be eligible for selection, players must be aged 22 years or under for the entirety of the season, including the finals series, and must have played a minimum of 11 games.
Twenty-two-year-old Balta has made the squad for the second occasion, having been named in the final team back in 2020.
The talented, versatile Tiger has been positioned as a ruck (forward) in the squad of 40, after showcasing his athleticism across a number of positions in 2022.
Across his 15 outings this season, the swingman has averaged 11 disposals, eight kicks and three intercept possessions per game, kicking a total of 13 goals so far this year.
His most dominant performance came in Round 2, where he was a powerful presence in attack with 10 disposals, six marks, including a game-high three contested grabs, and a game-high and AFL career-high four goals, earning nine coaches votes.
