Richmond will welcome back two Tigers for Sunday's crunch clash with Brisbane at the MCG.

The Tigers will regain the services of Tom Lynch and Jack Ross, who return for their first outings since Round 17 and Round 16 respectively.

Tall forward Lynch is back after overcoming a hamstring strain he suffered against Gold Coast, while young midfielder Ross returns following a knee injury. 

The inclusions replace Ivan Soldo and Hugo Ralphsmith, who have both been omitted, and Maurice Rioli, who was last week's activated medical substitute. 

Sunday's match will mark triple-premiership Tiger Shane Edwards' 300th AFL game. 

Senior coach Damien Hardwick said the Tigers were up for the challenge against a classy opposition.

"Brisbane are a formidable outfit playing some really good footy and they're top four for a reason," he said.

"But, we hope we rise to the occasion for Shane.

"The way we play will challenge them, and they'll challenge us in various ways as well."

Richmond's four emergencies for the clash are Rioli, Thomson Dow, Rhyan Mansell, and Ivan Soldo, with the Club to confirm which of the four players comes in as the medical substitute 60 minutes before the game.

The Round 20 game will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Kayo Sports, with the opening bounce at 3.20pm.
