Richmond is counting the cost of Saturday night’s loss to Port Adelaide with injuries to captain Trent Cotchin and forward Kane Lambert set to see the pair sidelined.
Cotchin suffered a fractured cheekbone early in the contest against the Power, and despite playing out the remainder of the game, will undergo surgery on Monday.
The injury is expected to keep the Tigers’ skipper out for two weeks.
Lambert received a knee to the back in a marking contest with Port Adelaide’s Brad Ebert in the first quarter and was subsequently taken to hospital in the second term.
It was confirmed that the 24-year-old had suffered a cracked rib and punctured lung and will be sidelined for three-to-four weeks.
