Richmond assistant coach, Brendon Lade has accepted a coaching position at the Port Adelaide Football Club.
Lade, a 2004 premiership player with Port Adelaide arrived at Richmond at the end of 2009 with the role of ruck, stoppage and midfield coach.
Dan Richardson, Richmond’s General Manager of Football Talent said Lade had made a significant contribution in his seven seasons at the Club.
“Brendon has been a great assistant coach to Damien and developed lasting relationships with the players, coaches and staff at our football club,” Richardson said.
“However, the opportunity and emotional attachment he has to Port Adelaide means we respect his decision. We wish Brendon, his wife Sarah and their boys, Jack and Oscar all the best for the future and the move back to Adelaide."
