Noah Balta, hamstring
"Noah had an incident later in the (Round 9) game kicking a long kick inside-50. He changed his kick at the last minute, which probably contributed a little bit to the injury. He's got a typical hamstring strain, but a kicking-related hamstring strain. He's already moving quite well, he's had three running sessions this week already and he's feeling pretty good. I think the Sydney game will be a stretch, so it's more after the bye that we think his return will be. So, he's in a rehab process now and we'll progress his high-speed running, his sprinting and his kicking progression to make sure we tick that off. So, we're looking at after the bye."
Josh Gibcus, AFL Heath & Safety Protocols
"Josh is good, he's back training today (Thursday) and he's freshened up a fair bit. He's had a week in isolation which limits what you can do obviously, but we have a number of things that we try to get the players to do in that confined space... strength equipment, on the spot-type conditioning, skipping and even some drills... It's probably a little blessing in disguise for him being an 18-year-old who hasn't played a lot of footy over the past two years given COVID... So, he's pretty fresh, he trained really well today and he'll come into consideration for this weekend."
Jack Graham, toe
"Jack had a bit of an issue with his big toe during the (Round 9) game. He got forced into a position where a player fell across his foot but his big toe was pretty sore towards the end of the game last week and impacted his running a little bit. So, we had some scans earlier in the week and it was good news in a sense that some of the soft tissue tendon is in tact and there's no real damage there, it's just the big toe joint that we're dealing with. He was barely able to walk the first two days of this week, but was walking much better yesterday and today he had a jog and even did some light strides and is feeling a lot better. So, we're going to assess him again tomorrow and we'll make a call on his selection."
