Richmond VFL has locked in its side to take on Hawthorn this Sunday at Box Hill City Oval. 

The Tigers will be looking to keep the momentum going following a convincing 37-point victory over Port Melbourne last weekend. 

Dashing defender Hugo Ralphsmith has recovered from the three broken ribs he sustained in Richmond's Round 5 AFL game against Adelaide and will make his return through the VFL this weekend. 

"The incident at the time we thought was bad, but we didn't realise how bad it was," Richmond senior coach Damien Hardwick said on Thursday morning.

"So, he's taken a little bit of time to get back. He was in really good form before he went out but he'll come back through the reserves and earn his place back.

"He's a really good, young promising player."

Also featuring in Sunday's line-up are AFL-listed Tigers Robbie Tarrant, Sydney Stack, Matt Parker and Riley Collier-Dawkins. 

The Tigers' three emergencies for the match are Nick Guiney, Cam Olden and Jack Sexton. 

Richmond and Box Hill will both be coming into the clash on the back of solid Round 7 wins, with the two sides currently sitting in eighth and tenth place respectively on the ladder after the opening seven rounds. 

The clash at Box Hill City Oval kicks off at 12.00pm will be broadcast live on Channel 7.
