The strength of the Tiger Army was on full display in Sunday’s win over Brisbane at the MCG, lifting Richmond to a number of attendance records.
A total of 76,995 spectators flocked to the ‘G for the clash, the largest ever home and away crowd for any team against an interstate opponent, surpassing the previous record by 4,227.

It was also the biggest crowd Brisbane has ever played in front of, excluding Grand Finals, and the league’s seventh largest crowd of the 2019 home and away season.
The figure smashed Richmond’s highest crowd number against an interstate opponent by 18,274 and the Tigers’ previous record against Brisbane by a whopping 30,034.

Sunday’s mammoth crowd also boosted Richmond’s 2019 average home attendance to 59,987, making Richmond the highest in the competition for the third successive year.
In total, 1,118,360 spectators attended Richmond’s home and away games in 2019.
