Star defender Nick Vlastuin was the only Richmond player to poll votes in the 2022 AFL Coaches’ Association’s Champion Player of the Year voting for Round 6.
The triple premiership Tiger received six votes for his excellent exhibition against Melbourne in the big Anzac Day Eve clash.
Vlastuin finished the match – only his second for the season after recovering from a hamstring injury – with an equal AFL career-high 30 disposals, 10 contested possessions, equal game-high 12 marks, game-high 13 intercepts, eight rebound-50s, four score involvements, six one-percenters and 544 metres gained.
