Rising Richmond star Brandon Ellis scored a “perfect 10” in the final round of voting for the 2013 AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year award.
Ellis was rewarded for his superb display in the Tigers’ 39-point, Round 23 victory over Essendon at the MCG, with maximum votes from respective coaches Damien Hardwick and Simon Goodwin.
The talented 20-year-old ran the Bombers ragged, picking up a game-high 35 disposals – 34 of them uncontested!
He also took a game-high 16 marks, which further highlighted the quality of his performance.
Tiger forward Aaron Edwards received six votes for his fine, four-goal display, as did valuable midfielder Daniel Jackson, after finishing the match with 30 touches, including a game-high eight inside-50 entries and two goals, along with dynamic, young midfielder Dustin Martin, who had 26 disposals in another eye-catching effort.
