Richmond captain Trent Cotchin’s confidence in the direction the Club is headed, both on and off the field, was a key factor in him agreeing to a two-year contract extension.
“It’s exciting. We’ve got a lot of mature guys who are always consistent, and we’re starting to see our younger guys play more consistent footy, which is going to hold us in really good stead coming into the back end of the year, but also in the years ahead,” Cotchin said in an exclusive ‘Roar Vision’ interview.

“You only have to look at the way Nick Vlastuin’s come in and played his role within the side – a little bit off half-back, but also through the midfield . . . he’s an exciting kid.
“Brandon Ellis, obviously, is playing his best footy, too . . .
“We’ve still got a lot of work to do on the field, but we think the culture we have here is going really well.
“Off the field, we’re really confident in the management group that are in place . . .
“We want to stick together as much as we can.
“You look at the teams in the past – Geelong’s been together for so long, Sydney – they’ve all had success together because they’ve stuck as one.”
