Unsurprisingly, star forward Jack Riewoldt tops Richmond’s goalkicking list after nine rounds with 25 goals.
Equal second is emerging tall forward Ben Griffiths with nine goals.
But who do you think shares that equal second billing on the Tigers’ goalkicking table with Griffiths?
Go to the top of the class if you said Shaun Grigg!
The hard-running midfielder is averaging a goal a game. He has kicked multiple goals four times this season, including an extremely valuable haul of two in Saturday night’s hard-fought, 13-point victory over Essendon in a low-scoring ‘Dreamtime’ battle.
Grigg has been one of Richmond’s most consistent performers this season, winning plenty of ball and causing damage to the opposition.
“Shaun’s gone back to being more inside, and that’s been a result of Kamdyn McIntosh being able to step up and play that wing role,” Tigers’ assistant coach Greg Mellor told ‘The Richmond Review’.
“He’s doing really well.
“Probably his greatest strength has been his ability to hit the scoreboard, and find a way to score when we need something to happen.
“The goal that he kicked at the start of the last quarter was terrific.”
