Tiger Army, we salute you once again for responding to our Fighting Tiger Fund (FTF) survey and providing valuable feedback about the Club’s fundraising initiative.

The Club was extremely pleased to see that 96% of survey respondents were aware of the FTF; our ambitious task to pay down debt and invest into the football program.

Our $6 million target has almost been achieved, with only $391,000 to go. The FTF has significantly reduced the Club’s debt, making important investments in football possible.

The survey also indicated 72% of respondents were aware that the Round 17 clash with North Melbourne this season was a dedicated ‘Thank you’ game to members for their donations to the FTF, with 42% attending the match.

We’re in the home straight, donate to the FTF now.

Also encouraging is that 77% of respondents said they would continue to support the FTF once the $6 million target is pledged, which tells us that Tiger fans care about the Club remaining financially viable and successful into the future.

The results have helped us to realise that many members are still unaware of the FTF’s Patrons Program, which we will work to communicate more effectively going forward.

We also understand that communication and transparency regarding how we invest the funds raised is important to you.

Key outcomes of the FTF include:

-    In 2011 the Club’s debt was reduced by $1 million and that will be further reduced at the end of October this year.
-    Work on the $1.9 million upgrade of the Punt Road Oval has commenced and is on schedule to be completed by November.
-    The Club has been able to bring forward the establishment of a stand-alone reserves team to 2014.

Thank you again to our FTF donors; you’re helping the Club on the path to achieving greatness. If you have further feedback about the Fighting Tiger Fund, please email us at info@richmondfc.com.au.
